Pathways to Prosperity Presentation at the Tri-County Reentry Providers Fair 2024



As an advocate for empowering historically underemployed populations, I'm thrilled to announce my participation in the upcoming Tri-County Reentry Providers Fair 2024. This event, under the theme "United towards empowering and promoting change through knowledge and building strong connections," will take place on Thursday, July 25th, from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the MVP Arena in Albany, NY


The fair, organized by the Albany County Reentry Task Force, Rensselaer County Reentry Task Force, and The Center for Community Justice, aims to bring together providers within the capital region to connect and provide available services to our clients. The schedule for the event includes:

- 1:00 pm: Opening Remarks

- 1:30 pm: First Session

- 2:30 pm: Lunch and Networking

- 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm: Second Session


During this fair, I'll be presenting my "Pathways to Prosperity" initiative, a part of the Roadmap to Success™ program. This presentation will cover essential strategies and insights for fostering economic mobility and stability among justice-impacted individuals. Here's a sneak peek at what attendees can expect:


Pathways to Prosperity: Empowerment through Knowledge and Connection


1. Introduction: From Felon to Forbes

   - Sharing my personal journey from incarceration to becoming a Forbes-recognized entrepreneur. This segment aims to inspire attendees by illustrating the possibilities of transformation and success.


2. Roadmap to Success™ Overview

   - An introduction to the Roadmap to Success™ program, highlighting how it supports individuals through personalized coaching, comprehensive career development, strategic staffing solutions, and a supportive community network.


3. Key Components of the Program

   - Immediate Employment: Providing quick access to paid transitional employment opportunities to help individuals gain work experience and financial stability.

   - Skills Training: Offering training programs that equip individuals with the skills needed to succeed in today's job market.

   - Job Placement: Facilitating connections with employers who are committed to supporting justice-impacted job seekers.

   - Ongoing Career Support: Ensuring continuous support through mentorship and career coaching to help individuals navigate their career paths effectively.


4. Success Stories and Impact

   - Showcasing real-life examples of individuals who have benefited from the Roadmap to Success™ program, emphasizing the tangible impact it has on reducing recidivism and promoting stable, productive lives.


5. Building Strong Connections

   - Discussing the importance of creating a network of supportive providers and community resources to aid in the reentry process. This segment will encourage collaboration and the sharing of best practices among attendees.


6. Interactive Q&A Session

   - An opportunity for attendees to ask questions and engage in a discussion about the challenges and opportunities in reentry support.

By attending this session, participants will gain valuable insights into how to empower justice-impacted individuals and help them achieve economic prosperity through knowledge and strong community connections.
